Who is the blog’s creator?
Hi, my name is Lyndsey. I am a passionate home cook who has been a vegetarian for over twenty-five years.
I am also a recipe developer and food writer who loves to cook and eat!
I decided to start Veg Coast Cook in 2018 because I wanted to share the vegetarian recipes that I create at home with the rest of the world.
My aim is to show other people how to make gorgeous veggie food that is a joy to eat.
Where is the blog based?
I live on the east coast of Australia in sub-tropical Queensland. All of my recipes are developed and cooked from my home here in this beautiful part of the world.
I’m lucky enough to live near stunning beaches (like Point Cartwright pictured above) and spectacular areas of rainforest that are wonderful places to explore.
I think there is nothing better than eating in the fresh air, so you will sometimes see my food photographed outdoors before I eat it at a picnic.
My cooking is influenced by my awesome surroundings and fresh Australian produce (especially seasonal fruit and vegetables).
I enjoy tasting the flavours and specialities of an area by seeking out local food & drink producers near home and when I am away on holiday.
I hope you enjoy cooking my food and more importantly, I hope you take great pleasure in eating it.
